An amazing example of wine from the Roussillon in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Hand harvested grapes from 100 year old vines, fermented in open barrels, filled & stirred by hand. 18 months in oak to avoid power & aggression instead looking for elegance & balance. A pleasurable wine reflective of its origins. Deep cherry, damson, forest fruit, spice & liquorice, espresso notes, with tight tannin.
